Novant Health’s Major Bluffton Expansion
Announced in late January, Novant Health unveiled plans for a $320 million hospital in Bluffton, set to open by mid-2028. The facility will initially feature 50 beds with plans to expand to 100 as demand grows. Services will include medical, surgical, emergency, trauma, intensive care, labor and delivery, cardiology, neurology orthopedics and other specialties identified as community needs. It will bring approximately 1,000 new jobs.

Hilton Head Real Estate Market Remains Balanced Amid Rising Inventory
The island’s real estate market saw a 5.9% year-over-year inventory increase in January, with 685 active listings. Properties now spend an average of 71 days on the market, up slightly from last year but still far below the decade-long average of 132 days. Median sale prices rose 5.07% to $1,087,000, signaling strong long-term value. Experts predict a surge in spring activity if interest rates dip closer to 4%.

Art League’s 29th Biennale Opens Submissions
National artists can apply until March 31 for this prestigious juried exhibition (May 13–June 13). Over $5,000 in prizes will be awarded, with head judge Tony Armendariz selecting winners.

Strategic Planning Workshop to Shape Hilton Head's Future
The Town of Hilton Head Island announced its 2025 Strategic Planning Workshop, scheduled for February 26–27 at the Westin Resort. Residents can engage with Town Council and staff to discuss priorities like infrastructure, environmental resilience, and community development. Public comment sessions and live streaming will be available.
